of the project
The municipalities of Pernik and Bobov dol, specialized in coal-based electricity and thermal energy production, together with the region of St. Zagora provide over 45% of the country's total energy mix. They are most affected with a view to transforming their economies to carbon neutral and ensuring a just transition.
The overall goal of the project is to increase the capacity of the municipalities of Pernik and Bobov dol, together with their partner Regioplan EOOD, for the development and implementation of active policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt and mitigate climate change.
